"Lightest" is a useful search term, but it needs context. A mount's listed weight can change by cockpit version, insert, hardware, spacer shape, and underside accessory configuration. Published weights are not always directly comparable, especially when one number includes only the carbon body and another includes hardware or an accessory adapter.

For a serious rider, the better comparison is total installed weight. That means the mount body, Garmin quarter-turn interface, required bolts, spacers or adapters where applicable, and any underside light or camera hardware. A bare carbon piece on a scale does not tell the whole story.

The Garmin quarter-turn interface also needs to be discussed accurately. Many computers use a Garmin-style interface, including Garmin and some devices from Magene, iGPSPORT, XOSS, Black Bird, and COROS. Wahoo uses a different interface. A mount may look similar from a distance, but the computer insert matters.

Fit matters more than the lowest gram number. On an integrated cockpit, the mount has to work with the cockpit design as well as the cycling computer interface. It should place the device where the screen is readable, provide enough clearance for installing and removing the computer, and avoid a stacked accessory look.

Device size matters too. A smaller Edge unit and a larger Edge 1050 do not create the same visual or physical footprint. If the computer is larger, the mount length, screen angle, and handlebar clearance deserve more attention.

Serviceability is another part of the comparison. Carbonparts uses a permanently bonded computer insert, so the rider must select the Garmin-style or Wahoo-specific interface before ordering. The insert is not intended to be swapped by the rider after purchase.

A practical comparison framework should include: total installed weight, cockpit-specific fit, Garmin quarter-turn interface quality, Edge device size, underside light or camera support, included hardware, serviceability, and real-world stability during normal road riding.
